Market: Austria win
Odds:
Desperate to improve on their recent form before hosting this summers World Cup finals, Russia will travel to Austria on Wednesday.
For Franco Foda s Austria side, although The Reds were unable to book their spot in Russia this summer and improve on their abysmal tournament at Euro 2016, the hosts have begun to rebuild with a string of victories of late. Coming off the back of a 4-0 win away in Luxemburg, although Austria were only able to secure a fourth-place finish in Group D, Foda s side are now on a five-match winning run and one man to watch for Austria will be West Ham talisman Marko Arnautovic, the forward now have five in five on international duty.
As for Stanislav Cherchesov s World Cup hosts, although Russia may have had their spot in the finals confirmed automatically, they will know that they must iron out their recent issues if they want to give the home support something to cheer next month. With just two matches against Austria and Turkey before they host Saudi Arabia in the opening matchup in Group A, Russia have now failed to win any of their last five and are coming off the back of a 3-1 home defeat to France. While Russia did manage to impress by scoring three against Spain in February, The Reds have now conceded nine goals in their last three and have only kept one clean sheet since May 2017.
Bet: Austria to beat Russia in Wednesdays international friendly
